I first teamed up with Competition Werkes with my Ducati Diavel, and was excited to connect with them again in 2018 in the Return to Track Days series with slip ons for the Yamaha R1, R3, and Kawasaki Ninja 300. When I decided to go racing in 2019, we added a 2016 Yamaha R6 and raced prepped both the R6 and R3. We had the first CW y-pipe on our R3 and the first CW y-pipe and exhaust that would fit both the slip on and their GP end on our R6.
Competition Werkes is the premier manufacturer of sport bike accessories including Fender Eliminator Kits, Exhaust Kits, Lighting, Footpegs, and many other accessories shipped around the world.
This bike has the largest production motor in the world. The bike looks nice stock, but it needed some tweaks and that stock exhaust was way too tame.
Enter CW to save the day with their easy mount sound enhancer. The exhaust dropped 23 pounds and gives it an extra 4 hp without any tuning.
I ordered the CW y-pipe and both the standard slip on (with baffle option) and their GP exhaust. Track noise restrictions vary, and it is good to come prepared in case you have to switch.
I hustled over to M-Tech Motosports in Bend Oregon and they added a tuner, then put it on the dyno.
Mark Degross of 2-Fast gives us some details and then we show the resulting dyno sheets.

When I started the season, CW didn't make a y-pipe for the R3... so they came and picked up mine and created the first one. I ordered the stainless slip on (with baffle option) exhaust.
I took the R3 to M-Tech Motosports in Bend Oregon and they added a tuner, then put it on the dyno.

One of my best friends and I used to go to the dealers on Saturdays and ride bikes for fun, and we spent a whole day one time riding little bikes around town... and they were a blast.
I remember laughing at him when he said he went and bought a new Grom (thinking, do you know all the bikes you could have bought with that much dough?)... and here just a few years later I found my self doing track days and frequently having to walk from one end of the pit to the other.
I had tried to get my wife on a Ninja 300 and it was too big for her, so we got a Grom so I could teach her on it (plus I might ride it a little bit myself LOL)... and far be it from me not to trick one out.

The trackside video was with a camera we setup and rode by while at PKA's Mac Track, and the onboard shots were at Portland International Raceway. This should be helpful for folks wanting to hear how the Competition Werkes exhaust sounds on the bike and from the side of the track.

I started New Years Day 2015 with a Ducati Diavel and started creating my biggest (at the time) motorcycle enthusiast site called Project Diavel. I contacted CW and ordered their slip on and baffle.
here is one of the shots from the movie with me buzzing by at a fair speed with an uninvited guest attempting to stay with me. It's under a minute, but was one of many fun things done for the little mini movie.
